Maria England is a 19-year-old Actress, having just completed her studies with the Howard Fine Acting Studio. Currently based in Melbourne, Maria moved to Australia from England when she was young and spent most of her youth training in musical theatre with the Young Australian Broadway Chorus. She reached the highest performing level, Triple Threat and secured the role of “The Wicked Witch of The West” in the company’s production of The Wizard of Oz.
Passionate about learning all things Theatre, Maria recently graduated VCE with a perfect score in Theatre Studies. Always keen to be involved with the School productions, Maria portrayed the role of “Mrs Wormwood” in her schools production of Matilda. She also performed as “Helen” in the play Machinal and “Helena” in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, amongst other roles.
After completing her studies, Maria plans to begin auditioning for professional work in theatre and film. Also a gigging Musician, Maria is a passionate Singer-Songwriter and Guitarist and has plans to release her original music in the near future.
